Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients:
- 2 heads of cabbage, boiled
For the filling:
- 3 cups Egyptian rice
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 bunch dill
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic
For the broth:
- 4 cups hot water
- 1 small cup olive oil
- Pomegranate molasses
- 4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 Maggi cube
- Salt
Spices:
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mixed spices
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
Steps:
Boil the cabbage: Boil the cabbage heads.
Prepare the filling: In a blender, mix the onion, tomatoes, garlic, dill, cilantro, tomato paste, Maggi, spices, and salt.
In a bowl, wash the rice and add olive oil and pomegranate molasses. Pour the blended mixture over the rice and stir together.
Stuff the cabbage: Stuff the cabbage leaves with the rice mixture and place them in a pot.
Prepare the broth: Dissolve the Maggi cube in hot water and mix with tomato paste, olive oil, a little salt, pomegranate molasses, and spices. Pour the mixture over the stuffed cabbage.
Cook on low heat for two hours. Enjoy your meal!
