Cabbage Rolls

 Cabbage Rolls


Ingredients:
  • 2 heads of cabbage, boiled

For the filling:

  • 3 cups Egyptian rice
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bunch dill
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic

For the broth:

  • 4 cups hot water
  • 1 small cup olive oil
  • Pomegranate molasses
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 Maggi cube
  • Salt

Spices:

  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

Steps:

  1. Boil the cabbage: Boil the cabbage heads.

  2. Prepare the filling: In a blender, mix the onion, tomatoes, garlic, dill, cilantro, tomato paste, Maggi, spices, and salt.

  3. In a bowl, wash the rice and add olive oil and pomegranate molasses. Pour the blended mixture over the rice and stir together.

  4. Stuff the cabbage: Stuff the cabbage leaves with the rice mixture and place them in a pot.

  5. Prepare the broth: Dissolve the Maggi cube in hot water and mix with tomato paste, olive oil, a little salt, pomegranate molasses, and spices. Pour the mixture over the stuffed cabbage.

  6. Cook on low heat for two hours. Enjoy your meal!
